10-week program takes place from the week of January 5th to the week of March 8th with exciting animal interactions and fun educational sessions for youngsters aged 7-14.

Let your little ones start the new year in adventurous style by enrolling them at The Green Planet Academy! Takes place from the week of January 5th to the week of March 8th2020, The Green Planet Academy is the most exciting way for children to discover the indoor tropical rainforest at City Walk.

Budding biologists, young scientists and animal lovers aged 7-14 can unlock a potential future career over The Green Planet Academy's 10-week semester.

Priced AED 1500 (AED 150 per week), The Green Planet Academy includes daily activities, educational sessions and unique, fun and eco-friendly adventures. Youngsters can enjoy hands on interactions with a variety of animals including The Green Planet's famous sloths and sugar gliders as well as reptiles, birds, all kinds of bugs and much more.

The bio dome's zookeepers, veterinarians, horticulturists, biologists and entomologists will lead the children in a host of interactive learning sessions as well as helping them with tasks including preparing food for the animals and collecting essential information.

The Green Planet Academy's eco-friendly ethos also extends to activities in the local community, with children encouraged to make an impact through events such as beach clean ups at La Mer.

Once the 10-week program is complete, youngsters will attend a special Green Graduation where they will receive a certificate and be awarded the title of Junior Biologist and TGP Academy graduate.

What to Expect:

  • Each week's programme will focus on a theme and topic led by an expert biologist who will teach children about animal care, training and enrichment work.
  • Youngsters can get up close to the sloth and sugar glider as well as reptiles, birds and bugs.
  • There will also be a range of work experience projects which will have a connection to the animal in focus that week, such as food preparation, preparing toys or collecting record keeping information.
  • Children will learn what a terrarium is, how to plant their very own tropical bio dome and even be able to create their very own hanging tree planter to take home.
  • Participants will also be encouraged to make an impact, tasked at spending time working on a project that can help the environment in their own communities.
  • Each child will receive a TGP explorer kit and be awarded the official title of Junior Biologist and TGP Academy graduate.
